Spring lovin’

(grapefruit and sage mimosas)

(a small get together starring grapefruit and sage mimosas)

There’s no question that this time of year feels very inspiring to me … but I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is. The most obvious conclusion is the beautiful weather outside (yes, even in New York City it has been almost perfect). But maybe it’s more about the anticipation … the small tastes of Summer fun we get mid-May …  dinner on the patio … planning weekend getaways … slipping on open toed shoes … the list goes on.

It’s been a whirlwind since I last posted … I had a very rewarding experience in Sochi, Russia working the Winter Olympics … I danced all night at two of my best friends weddings … watched my (not so) little brother graduate … ate two of the best meals of my life  … cut 6 inches off my hair … finally skied the Rockies … ran around the streets of Chicago with some of my oldest friends … and realized again and again, it’s always about the people you surround yourself with during these times that make them the most memorable.
